About

In December 2022 VYX piloted a camp with 15 young people aged between 11- 15 with the purpose of trailing the concept and testing in real time the initiative.

VYX – prides itself on developing meaningful partnerships at the National, State, and local levels that enhance access to care, improve service coordination, and support the use of resources, ensuring partners share VYX values. We treat all people with dignity and respect, with the continual understanding that we are all part of one mission. We respect the right to self-determination among Veterans and their families by demonstrating a high regard for their individual values, preferences and needs.

We are now seeking support to be able to widen this initiative and include opportunities for young people and families seeking support.

The VYX-Youth360 Project

Our concept aims to bring youth adventure, skills, and personal development components together with training providers, social and health services all in one location. We would like to see an innovative and collaborative service delivery model working with local schools to support young people in primary and secondary schools. Our Aim is to provide support to empower, to lead and promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, though adventure. The Youth 360 Project want to create opportunities that value and empower young people, build family harmony, and foster supportive communities, enabling all young people to reach their full potential.

Through working with individuals and groups, we endeavour to make a meaningful contribution that supports their wellbeing, strengthens communities, and ensures that veterans have opportunities to share and pass down their knowledge and skills to individuals, their families, and their communities.

The Youth 360 Project aims to support young people to be healthy and well, to be confident and strong in their identity, and in achieving their goals. We do this by supporting young people to think outside the box, to challenge their actions, and we do this through adventure-based activities. Our aim is to build resilience, connection, and a create a positive attitude towards life, family, and education.
